Visit two of Italy’s most iconic places in just one day!

With this full-day private tour from La Spezia, you’ll have the chance to visit the city of Pisa, home to the famous Leaning Tower, and the five fishing villages of the Cinque Terre, perched high on the Italian Riviera, that represents one of the most pristine natural areas of Liguria, with a landscape unique in the world, shaped by the famous dry-stone walls.

You will go where large buses are not permitted, allowing you to see more, walk less, and capture the best of the surroundings. For instance, you’ll be dropped off just at the gate of Miracle Square (Piazza dei Miracoli), literally few meters from the Leaning Tower. Hence, not wasted/long walking under the sun required, and even worse, in between the traffic.

Pisa

Travel in a private vehicle, the first stop on your tour will be Pisa, home to the iconic Leaning Tower. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the tower and the other buildings on Piazza dei Miracoli, including the Duomo, the Baptistery, and the Campo Santo. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the nearby Piazza dei Cavalieri, a beautiful square lined with medieval buildings.

Cinque Terre

We’ll drive you to the Cinque Terre. Personally, we advise you first to get in the village of Corniglia, the one with the most impressive view, just on top of the other 4 villages (cinque terre means “five lands / villages”); afterwards we could take you to Vernazza, the most fascinating of the five.

Corniglia

The coastline between Manarola and Corniglia is full of hidden treasures we will explore before reach the middle village of the Cinque Terre. Sitting 100 meters high on a cliff face, Corniglia is the only of the villages without a harbor and features a panoramic terrace where you can see Manarola and Riomaggiore to the south and Vernazza and Monterosso to the north.

Vernazza

The UNESCO majestic village of Vernazza is probably the most characteristic of the Cinque Terre and is classified as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Vernazza was founded about 1000 A.D. and was ruled by the Republic of Genoa starting in 1276. The medieval castle, Belforte, was built in the mid-1500’s, primarily to protect the village from pirates. An ideal way to arrive to this breathtaking village is by sea. The tiny port is surrounded by subtle colorful pastels and the charming piazza is lined with good restaurants and bars. The village is surrounded by very steeply-terraced olive groves which are said to produce among the finest olive oil in the country. If we have time left, we can even stop at a characteristic wine cellar.

1. Immediate Departure to Pisa (Approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes)
2. Free time in Pisa (Approximately 1 Hour 30 minutes)
3. Pick up and drive to Corniglia (Approximately 1 hour 50 minutes)
4. Free time in Corniglia (Approximately 30 minutes unless you have a lunch here)
5. Pick up and drive to Vernazza (Approximately 15/20 minutes, and we’ll estimate the time of staying)
6. Pick up and drive back to the terminal (Approximately 55 minutes)
